The following are those things not allowed during the hours of regular camp activities
by any participant within the main camp area.
They do not apply to the modern camp (tin tipi) area.

Outerwear
(Coats, capotes, jackets, vests, serapes, capes)
Basically we don't allow any modern, or modern colored outerwear to be worn during regular camp hours.
One exception might be the use of modern rain/snow gear could be approved during a severe storm
at the discretion of the booshway.

Headwear
(Hats, scarves, headrags, bandanas, wigs, misc.)
No baseball caps, or modern themed headware allowed during regular camp hours.

Footwear
No modern shoes, boots, Sandals are to be worn at any time in camp during regular camp hours.
Exception: Modern footwear can be worn at the discretion of the booshway during cold, or wet weather.

I would like to add that a certain amount of forgiveness is afforded to new members. We would all at one point have liked to show up in clean, white fully beaded buckskins with perfect long fringes and have the entire camp wonder, "Who is that perfect example of a Mountain Man?"

It won't happen EVER! If you were to drop the outlandish money required to obtain such a setup, you would surely acquire a camp name right away. A plain tan or white muslin shirt (un-tucked, hip length), knee high moccasins (brown), a sash or wide leather belt (worn at waist hight OVER your shirt) and a pair of dark colored jeans (yes jeans like LEVI's) make a very suitable first season and subsequent emergency outfit. Add a pouch or two to your belt, a good reasonable size knife worn at your belt or on a thong around your neck and a head scarf complete the affair.

All men cry out against thee, the dogs pursue thee, and all the inhabitants of this city are thy enemies; but I will make peace between them and thee, O brother wolf, is so be thou no more offend them, and they shall forgive thee all thy past offences, and neither men nor dogs shall pursue thee any more. ~ Fioretti de San Francesco
